Design & development process

Stage 1 – Initial proposal (free, no obligation)

You provide information concerning your proposed site’s purpose, likely content and approximate size. In response, UpThere will give you a free initial design proposal with an approximate costing & timeline. If you accept this proposal, your website will proceed to Stage 2.

To initiate this process, contact up there by phone (03 5341 3335) or email liz@upthere.com.au to discuss your ideas, or alternatively you can submit online the short Design Proposal Form given on UpThere‘s Contact page.

Stage 2 – Agreement on design specifications

UpThere will consult with you to define the specifications for your website, enabling a firm costing and timeline.

Your planning input is especially valuable at this stage and you may like to use UpThere‘s Website Planning Guide below to help define your requirements.

Stage 3 – Prototype development

You supply the basic content (preferably in digital form) for the site and UpThere will develop a working prototype for your approval.

Stage 4 – Final development

The prototype is accepted or modified/refined and you supply the rest of the content for the site. Arrangements are made for web hosting.

Stage 5 – Your site goes live on the web

Your finished site is mounted on a web server and registered with search engines.

Stage 6 – Ongoing support by UpThere

Whether you would like UpThere to maintain your site or you wish to do it yourself, we will continue to support you at no extra cost over the first twelve months.
